Resilient Recovery of Rural Indigenous Communities in the face of the Crisis

This document presents a reflection on how to promote the community resilience of rural indigenous communities in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in the face of future crises. Community resilience is understood as the conditions and processes that enable groups to respond to adversities, strengthening or developing new resources. To achieve this, we explore how these communities have been affected by the pandemic and how their indigenous and/or rural condition has exacerbated these effects. Additionally, we identify some challenges and opportunities for building resilience based on the systematization of experience in two community projects in Mexico and Colombia.
